James Island ** Seaside Plantation ** 1444 Eutaw Battalion Drive ** Seaside Plantation ** James Island

Here's why the SELLER loves living here:

We adore James Island so much. It is quaint, beautiful, close to the beach, and has great restaurants and a small town feel.

Freeman’s Point in Seaside Plantation is great for people that love nature, love trees, love the water, or have kids. There are tons of kids and young families, and lots of parties and such going on at the pavilion in the summer. So many friendly people and a really quiet peaceful atmosphere.

We love to eat at Sermets, Maybank public house, Paisanos pizza is our favorite pizza by far, as well as all the places downtown. We also adore Rio Chico for really amazing mexican food!

When we bought the property we were drawn to its peaceful feel but close proximity to shopping and conveniences. It is only 5 mins away from Harris Teeter and only 7-8 mins away from Publix. Not to mention being insanely close to a Tuesday morning and several other great stores!

We adore Charleston so much. It is a gorgeous Historic city with so much to do. The beaches are amazing, the food is world class, and the vibe is slow paced. We will always feel a connection to this city!

A few other things that we love about our neighborhood are the multiple points to walk and see nature. There is a wetlands pond area at the back of the neighborhood that is a symphony of frogs in the summer. We adore the dock and go out there all the time to look at the water and fish and crab. Bike rides in our neighborhood are super fun too and a great way to meet people!

We adore being so close to Folly Beach. It feels like home and is such a wonderful place to take the kids to play in the summer as well as to go to watch the sunset.

We all like different things but our family has really fallen in love with kayaking. You can launch a kayak from our neighborhood and paddle out into the marsh. It’s such a peaceful way to see nature and you'll see dolphins most times as well as pelicans and fish jumping. It’s so cool!

Our utilities are pretty reasonable. Our gas company is SCE&G, water is with Charleston Water, and Electric is SCE&G also. The costs are way better than they were when we were living in TX.

Mount Pleasant ** Planters Point ** 1801 N Smokerise Way ** Planters Point ** Mount Pleasant

Why the seller loves living here.

The things I love about Mount Pleasant are the availability of a variety of shopping, dining, and recreation activities.  Also, historic downtown Charleston is close affording cultural activities and fine dining.  In the surrounding area, there are many outdoor activities such as parks and easy access to the beach.  Mount Pleasant is a short drive to Georgetown, Myrtle Beach and Savannah.

Our neighborhood is great for any size or age family.  Neighbors are friendly and willing to help each other. We have a great amenities center which has activities for all ages. The amenities center can be rented out for gatherings as well as the pool cabana. The pool has BBQ areas for homeowners to enjoy all year. The HOA, along with volunteers, put on seasonal activities for the children and adults.  Our neighborhood pathways connect to adjoining neighborhoods providing miles of walking, biking and running trails.
We love to eat at the large variety of restaurants in the Mount Pleasant area, from fast food and child friendly to more formal dining.  Dining at Shem Creek offers a variety of fresh seafood, while dining along Johnnie Dodds Blvd offers BBQ to steak. We recently tried Nico's on Coleman Blvd near Shem Creek and will definitely be returning to sample other entree offerings.

When we bought the property we were drawn to the attractiveness of the neighborhood; the homes and common area are well maintained.  Two large grocery stores are in the general area, one within walking distance.  Also, within walking distance are cleaners, dentist, restaurants and soon a veterinary clinic.  Within a short driving distance there is major retail shopping.

The Charleston area is wonderful because of the ambiance, history, friendliness of its citizens.  Art galleries, museums, parks, musical venues and casual walks through town make this a great place to live.  There are more interesting places to eat and enjoy an evening out then you can fit into a year's schedule because Charleston always has new restaurants opening.  Also college sports venues, semi-pro baseball, hockey and soccer are available for family entertainment.

A few other things I can mention are the symphony and local playhouses that provide a variety of entertainment options.  You will never be bored in Charleston. Every year Charleston hosts a wine and food festival, wildlife expo, Spoleto and other music festivals.
We love to take advantage of the weather by kayaking, beach combing, hiking and observing the wildlife.

One of the attraction to Charleston is the variety of interests of those residing here. We are involved with greyhound rescue and know of other breed rescue groups in the area. People are involved with turtle rescue, birds of prey, SPCA and other such groups.  The artisan population is very active in the area; thus, providing residents access to many art forms such as, pottery, woodworking, jewelry and iron works.

Our electric and water bills are pretty consistent year to year. Our South Carolina Electric and Gas monthly costs have been reasonable to other areas we have lived. We have had no complaints with service from this company.  Our home and irrigation water is supplied by Mount Pleasant Waterworks; we are satisfied with price and service.
