Why the seller has loved living here:
The things I love about Goose Creek are the convenient location,
the mix of long-term residents and people who are new to the area.
Our neighborhood is great for outdoor living! If you like hiking
or biking - or just walking the dog, there are miles of trails. There are a
lovely pool and tennis courts just a short walk away. We love to sit on the
deck and drink our morning coffee or cook out on Saturday evenings. The house
is located on a quiet cul-de-sac and backs up to a "green belt". This
means the backyard is a perfect place for bird feeders. There is no telling
what you might see!
We love to eat at the breakfast room table, looking out the bay
window into the back yard. When we have family or friends over, the dining room
is a great space for big meals.
When we bought the property, we were impressed by the curb appeal
of the house. Standing on the front porch while our realtor fiddled with the
lock box, I looked up and saw the horse and cart weathervane. As a horse lover,
I knew this was a good omen for our future. We were drawn to the versatility of
the home, which includes formal dining room and living room (or study) but we
really live in the large open floor plan area at the back of the house.
Running out to the store is never a chore because there are
quality grocery stores no matter which way you exit the neighborhood. Publix is
my "go to" store!
The combination of the historic setting and the cutting edge
cultural scene makes Charleston a unique place to live.
This home is very easy to keep looking nice! It's so much easier
to keep hardwood floors looking good than carpet. And after a hard day at the
office, relax in the beautiful garden tub in the master bath.
This area has great schools right in the neighborhood and is
convenient to major highways without being close enough to hear traffic noise.
Of course, everyone is different but we love the outdoors -
hiking, kayaking the lowcountry rivers, or horseback riding. When we are home,
my husband loves to cook - especially desserts. The spacious kitchen has lots
of work room and is an efficient set up. He enjoys creating delicious treats -
and I enjoy eating them. Now you know why I exercise outdoors so much!
This home is quite energy efficient, thanks to the new Trane heat
pumps we have installed since we moved in. Our electric bill with Berkeley
Electric Cooperative runs on average $150 per month. The sewer charge is $44
per month to Berkeley County Water & Sanitation. The water is provided by
Charleston Public Works and runs under $30 per month.
