The things we love about Johns Island are how close we are to Charleston, Kiawah, and Folly. Yet we are far enough away to enjoy more quite living.
Our neighborhood is great for celebrating holidays. There are neighborhood events throughout the year. Our neighbors are friendly and lookout for each others safety and property.
We love to take the scenic drive to Red's Ice House and eat by the water. We also enjoy Maria's Mexican grill for happy hour, and JI Pizza.
When we bought the property we were drawn to the the convince of the grocery store ans CVS.
The Charleston area is wonderful, because there are always public events and fun things that families can take part in. The charleston area is a historic and beautiful place to live.
Another thing we can mention is the James Island County Park. This is a place we love to take our families went they visit. The park is close and offers paddle boats, bike rentals, and kayaks. All that we have tried. They also hold year around events that we enjoy attending. Our favorites are the Cajun Festival and Festival of Lights.
Of course we all like different things, we enjoy the Angel Oak that is located a few minutes away from our home. We also enjoy the shooting range in West Ashley located about 15 minutes away.
Our utility costs are better than we have experienced before. Our ulilities cost an average of $205 per month. Our electric company is Berkley Electric. Our water company is St. John's Water. Our sewage company is Charleston Water Systems.
