Welcome to 24 Apollo!
This COMPLETELY renovated cottage provides you an excellent opportunity
to live in the charm of a 1940’s home with all of the conveniences of modern
upgrades. The architect and contractor
took great pride in updating this house while keeping a hint of the cottage
charm with the trim, door hardware, transom vents and much more. The electrical and plumbing have all been
upgraded along with a new roof. As you walk into the main door the refinished
(yet original) hardwood floors guide you through the living room into the
dining area off of the kitchen. The
original galley kitchen was transformed into a larger kitchen with new granite
and stainless appliances that is open to the dining and living area. An additional counter and cabinet area adds
to the space, and storage of this already large kitchen, that will be any
chef’s dream!
Off of the main living area, the 2 guest rooms share a full
bath. With the original hardware and
doors throughout the house, you will love the old time feel of this home with
all of the modern day comforts. The
master suite was added to the back of the house and provides a walk in closet,
dual vanities and a large custom tile shower.
Off of the back door of the home is a large, brand new deck providing a
great place to entertain in the back yard.
Both of the sheds have the ability for power to be run to them; one of
the sheds is large enough to have its own loft that can be a great place for
additional storage or even a craft room or office! The newly landscaped lot provides plenty of
room for parking while leaving enough space to play!
WHAT NEIGHBORS SAY ABOUT THE AREA:
I love to eat at Al Di La in Avondale. Their gnocchi is the best in town. Avondale Wine and Cheese shop is another great addition to the neighborhood for dine-in parties/events or a quick stop for a bottle. Swig and Swine BBQ is great and the bartenders at Triangle are the best in town.
When I moved to the area, I was drawn to the conveniences of the Harris Teeter, dry-cleaners, restaurants/bars and the proximity to downtown.
The Charleston area is wonderful because it is a perfect mix of old southern charm and history with all the conveniences of modern life. Charleston has distinct and unique neighborhoods that lend to more of a small-town feel. There are constant social and cultural offerings as well as all of the advantages of living close to the water.
Another thing to mention... Food. There are great restaurants on every corner.
I love all of the outdoor activities in Charleston. Bike lanes are popular along with outdoor running trails and kayaking.
